*There are be times when we are offered the possibility of broadcasting our professionals faceĀ  and our capabilities to a wider audience, previously not available to us. This may be speaking at a conference or demonstrating our talents at a big event. Many people will pay a fortune for such opportunities like that, the exposure is massive and so being thankful for the fantastic exposure is more important than asking on how much we paid for it.

*Times can occur where we must demonstrate our competence, may be prove how capable we are. It can be an audition, demonstration or interview, but it is an important time to show the potential customers or clients that we have the necessary skills and confidence to deliver the goods or services they are looking for.

*Newly qualified people usually prefer to work for free for a time until they have more experience and be more confident. No charging takes the pressure off and allows them to take their time and not feel the need to appear as super-confident and competent.

*Putting something back into society is another reason why people may work for free. Some people may choose a particular client or situation that they feel deserve not to pay. This is not charity work, but simply choosing the situation that they feel worthy or deserving of some fortune.

*Work for free can give opportunity to learn new skills. We may volunteer to work as an assistant or apprentice in exchange for being taught several important improvements to what we already know. This can be done as an exchange where we teach each other something in return, or we simply work as a volunteer and learn something instead of a payment.

*Keeping busy can be an important reason to work for free. If someone is out of work, they may want to keep mentally and physically occupied. Working for free may provide that benefits and it is not uncommon for the people wo subsequently be given a job when one become available. Being enterprising enough to provide one’s service for free can give potential employers the chances to see then at close hand and be impressed.

*Make new friends is often a valuable result of working for free. Some people may have a lonely job in which they rarely see humans, or they may have been out of work for a while. Working for free offer stimulation and company. New contacts, acquaintances and friends can be a valuable by-product of taking a non-paid work.

Working is not just about wages that we receive. Many people find that being occupied, challenged, and mixing with the people is equally, if not more important. Sometimes working for free is a valuable and important decision to take.
